当地时间周五（24日）清晨，美国五角大楼附近一处巴士站发生严重碰撞事故，两辆公交车迎面相撞，造成23人受伤，其中包括10名国防部工作人员。
据《美联社》引述五角大楼防卫局的官方通报，事故发生于当天上午7时30分前后。隶属Omni Ride公司的一辆巴士与Fairfax Connector公司旗下的另一辆巴士，在五角大楼附近以正面碰撞的方式猛烈相互撞击，冲击力强劲。
事故发生后，大批紧急救援力量迅速赶赴现场展开救治。23名伤者中，18人被救护车送往附近医院接受进一步检查与治疗，其余5人经现场处置后暂时无需转院。目前，事故原因仍在调查之中。
